Minimalism on the WWW

The Raspberry Pi 4 serving this web site.

The hardware serving this web site is a Raspberry Pi 4 sitting under my TV. The site is delivered by an Apache web server and a small Perl CGI script (less than 150 lines of code). I use an old 10.1" eMachine EM350 netbook (remember those?) running Puppy Linux to do all of the work on this site. That started as a novelty, but has proven really convenient (especially with its brand new 8-hour battery).

In all honesty, this whole web site is a novelty, a trip back to the technology of the 90's for me, and a bit of nerdy fun.

(By the way, you're accessing this site through my home network router, which might occasionally be assigned a new IP address by my ISP, in which case the site will be down until I discover this and change the DNS settings. But, there's nothing mission critical going on here, so...)
